Update 2017.11.29

Well, I've been busy for a while.  I started this blog back in 2014, back during the early Elite years, and was lurking earlier than that. (I remember when that blue "elite recon" leaked and the speculation went crazy.) I've learned a lot, and I apologize to those people who I've offended over the years (NerfHaven admin team, the "Excellent Ice Cream" fiasco).

Anyway, I'm not quitting. I've seen enough of the bloggers leave. (My Last Dart faded out shortly after I started, and we've lost SBNC and Bazookafied since then.)

I'm currently working on Mechanical Engineering at CSUS, but I'm keeping Nerf on the backburner with the Spartan & Morrigan projects. If I can get an HPA rig for the former, the latter will probably be converted to HPA too.

[MOD] BoomCo Halo UNSC M6D Personal Defense Weapon

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted anything here; nerf blogging seems to be as dead as the Marleys. Anyway, I just got myself a new blaster, the Halo Magnum by BoomCo, and I've modded it. More after the big drop.

2017, the Year of the NIC-capable Blasters

Well, I don't know about you, but this year's Leak Week is shaping up to be quite nice. We've seen the flagship blasters for MEGA, Accustrike, Zombiestrike, Modulus, and Doomlands, and a new Alien Menace pistol to boot. This leaves just N-Strike Elite and Rebelle's offerings shrouded in mystery. As it is, hardcore modders have something to look forward to. More after the big drop.

War Report 2017-01-14 (Davis Nerf Club)

Well, after a busy summer of work and an autumn of school, I finally had some time to go to the Davis Nerf Club, and, to quote Tony Stark, "It's good to be back!"

Well, this was unexpected.

Well, Hascorp has been working on a ball-shooting, Gatling Gun-esque blaster for several years, and I think we've seen a proof of concept.

For Science!

Ususally, when I record a modification, it was successful. This time, though, it failed for me. For science's sake, I have included this experiment.

I don't have photos for each step because I usually go backwards after I finish, and only take progress shots when I think about it.

Continued after the big drop.

Snap Back to Reality

After a busy summer of work and a BRUTAL fall semester, I finally have some time for my blog. And man, oh man, have I got some catching up to do!

What are those?

You might have noticed the ads that have just shown up on my blog. No, that's not a fluke.
I need some money, and I decided to include some ads. Not a lot, just one or two, to create a trickle of change into my pocket so I can buy some of the new blasters and some RP this summer.
Heck, even Langley is considering putting ads onto NerfHaven, so I'm in good company.

Hasbro Finally Makes Clip-fed Blasters!

Ok, you all know the drill. Hasbro refers to the box magazines for its rifle-style blasters as "clips" and the community often refers to them as either that, or "clipazines". This is because these "clips" are actually magazines, and many can't tell the difference, so they just blur the words together into the infamous term "clipazine".

However, there are now two modern blasters that actually use clips!
Prepare to drop!

Heavy Stuff Inbound!

Another new year, another new set of blasters. This time, we're getting to see the flagship products for six of Nerf's sub-brands: MEGA, Rivals, N-Strike Elite, N-Strike Modulus, DoomLands, and ZombieStrike. Also, two smaller products have slipped onto store shelves without any fanfare. Prepare to drop.
