First up is a new blaster that looks a lot like an old friend, the Nerf MEGA Mastodon.
It's big, and it uses 6 D-cell batteries, much like the venerable Vulcan EBF-25. This beast's got the same contours as the Vulcan: Batteries behind the ammo, carry handle up top, and the same main grip. Then you notice the differences: The belt-fed system has been replaced by a drum, the top rail extends almost the full length of the blaster, and there's a small rail on the bottom.
Notice how there is lots of space below the barrel, but not so much right above it? Also, do you notice how there's a ton of space behind the drum? And did I mention that this beast uses 6 D-Cell batteries, the same as the two other bulky full auto Direct-Plunger blasters (Vulcan and Stampede) The Swarmfire was lighter because its rotation was small and didn't have to move much, but this thing's got to force a bunch of air out to propel these darts. f = m*a

With 6 D's inside, this beast'll be brutally heavy, so Hasbro is planning on including a carry strap. Or, if you want to crouch down and aim (Not that you'll really need to, apart from posing for a photo-op), you could put a bipod from a Centurion, Modulus Long-Range Kit, or Stampede on the bottom rail.
Yep, I can see this beast with a Centy bipod and a modulus red-dot sight. Fun.
Ridiculous, but fun. Also, if you could mod it to feed from a Vulcan belt, you'd have brutal force!
Next is the third blaster from the Nerf Rivals series. The Khaos MXV-4000. This one's a ball!
It seems to abandon the magazine system that the other two Rivals blasters utilized in favor of a 40-round monster-mag. Perhaps it's just my imagination, but it looks like there could be a pusher that blasts forward and fires off 4-round bursts, sorta like the Spartan NCS from the video games fired 3-dart bursts.
Or, there's some sort of belt inside that'll move the balls forward one at a time. If this were the case, the back stack would be depleted first, moving forwards.
We won't know until we see a firing demo whether it uses a pusher or a pully.
The orange button under the trigger indicates that this will be flywheel, which is necessary for either layout to work.
Like the Mastodon, this blaster uses 6 D-cells. Heavy, but they ought to fit inside that fat stock. Having the weight far back would make this more wieldy, like the Stampede, because of the leverage. Imagine a 3-foot stick with an 8-lb weight on one end. Would it be easier to swing it around by the end with the weight or the end without? The end with the weight!
However, even with the mechanical advantage, you're going to want both hands on the blaster; that's why there's a rail on the bottom, and the front of the mag-well is curved.
Edit: Also, this could be the beginning of extreme-capacity magazines for Nerf! It wouldn't be that hard to make a drum that holds 160 HIRs, especially if this fired in bursts!
Since Rival rails should accept N-Strike-Rail accessories, a red-dot sight and a Retaliator grip would complete this weapon of mass balling.
Now, it's time to take a look at the silently released new Zombiestrike blaster, the Silentstrike.
This blowgun is Hascorp's latest utilization of NIC-standard items.
Unlike most NIC blowguns which are just a chunk of SCH-80 PVC, this has a mouthpiece, foam hand-grip, and sling-mounting points.
However, it's got a glaring weak point: The hand-grip protects the barrel in back, and the muzzle-piece protects the barrel up front, but what protects the barrel in the middle? Perhaps they use stronger plastic and have a thicker cross section, but this still could easily get snapped in half.
If you look carefully at the above photo, you see the Zombiestrike Chainsaw Bayonet. Hasbro decided that if a technopunk/apocalyptic bayonet is a good idea for its series, then the N-Strike Modulus series needs its own bayonet.
This is the Modulus Close Combat Kit.
So, one bayonet and two "Stunners"along with two mounts for said "Stunners".
The grip on the bayonet looks like it might be usable as a knife, but I have no clue what those "Stunners" are for. They look like they have some sort of noise-maker in them, sorta like that in the ZS Chainsaw.
Do you throw them? The picture for the "Stunner Clips" shows them going on the side, which would be convenient to rip one off and throw it.
Meh.
Oh, speaking of Zombiestrike chainsaws, look at this, the Brainsaw!
Hmm, a Roughcut with a chainsaw down the center? Looks ridiculous, but fun!
It either has a switch on the left side that controls a motor that spins the blade, or that gray handle up top revs it like the Crosscut. Either way, this cuts away so much of the boring mil-sim appearance that has dominated Nerf and combines the two weapons commonly used in zombie movies: Shotgun and Chainsaw. Fun!
Also, it kinda reminds me of SBNC's RoughCut concept.
Perhaps Hascorp noticed his idea as well?
Almost every Nerf series has a bow-style or crossbow-style blaster, but most of them are fails. However, the Doomlands Double-Dealer pulls off the crossbow appearance and wins!
What's the secret to it pulling off the crossbow look? Instead of crossbow arms, it's got mags. It's a double-barreled slam-fire pump-action mag-fed springer. Both barrels fire at the same time, which will decrease your ammo efficiency, but in East-Coast games, you will eliminate your target quicker, or at least have a greater chance of hitting something in the vague direction that you are pointing your blaster.
It is a rifle-grip version of the Rhino-fire. Hmm, a pair of Rhino drums would make this beast so much fun!
The stock is very boxy, which reminds me of the Longshot's stock. Perhaps you can store two more mags in the stock? That would be ultra handy!
Ready for something so ridickulous that it's ridongculous? Meet the N-Strike Modulus Tri-Strike!
It's bonkers! You've got a HAMP draped over the core of a direct-plunger Longstrike, and you've got a 4-shot MEGA-HAMP pistol up front. Where do I start?
OK, the HAMP grinaide launcher has its plunger in the stock, and the firing chamber has a stock-mounting point on its back, so it can be used as a standalone. Now you're left with a bolt-action Retaliator, and rumour has it that the core-blaster will have slam-fire. In other words, a Retaliator where your scope doesn't keep moving back and forth. Add a Raider stock, Longstrike barrel, and Modulus red-dot sight, and you're all set!
The front piece is a detachable masterkey. Perfect for a Rapidstrike!
And speaking of full-auto flywheels, meet the N-Strike Elite Hyperfire, a beast with stock ROF of 5 darts/second.
Yeah, you heard me right. Five darts per second, stock! If that's calculated with Duracells, that ought to be higher with Energizers, and if you stuck Trustfires or a LIPO in, you'll need a control circuit to measure out a burst, or you'll drain your drum in no time flat!
This blaster looks like a Super Soaker. First were the Super Soakers that looked like Nerf blasters, now we get a Nerf blaster that looks like a Super Soaker.
This behemoth uses 4 D-cell batteries, which probably go inside the stock.
The Stryfe trigger group is there: Rev button, mag-release, main-trigger, but they are sleeker, almost like something from a Rebelle blaster.
Also, the angle of the drum makes it look like it is not quite centered, almost like a Raider drum... Hey, this would look sweet with a Raider drum and an Elite Longshot scope!
